About
David Bender

"My work speaks in an ongoing voice about cycles and the preservation of existence.

All cycles, whether they are the cycles of evolution, life, time, the ecosystem, or the cycle of an internal system - they all impact each other.

In my work I focus on the magnification of singular objects, or the combination of codependent things that are generally overlooked on a daily basis and with that I force the viewer to interact with them and then question them.

For me understanding the world and our place within it comes from my daily questioning of a sense of self and our place as humans in an ever-changing world. That what we affect will affect us. The voice of sculpture speaks to us throughout time. The real challenge is to listen to it and grow from it."
